Piece is a kind-hearted orc who does what she can to keep those around her from suffering. These tendencies towards kindness are currently being attacked by the shadowrun universe as a whole, but Piece has kept an optimistic outlook so far.

Starting with little experience as a runner due to being a former accountant, Piece picked up her trusty Remington 750 and bugged out of Shiawase with 1,000,000 nuyen to her name and a bad reputation in the accounting department. Since then, Piece has learned the value of not threatening large groups of armed individuals by herself. Unfortunately, that incident nearly killed her, so she's taking several months off to rest up before considering any other runs.
Sauve, Debonair, and slightly racist against dwarves (only the annoying ones), Smokes is a human detective investigating a new case: Her own. She was fired from her job recently without any forewarning, and she's certain something is up. She's taken to following wolf to aid her in her hunt, and hopes to have the mysteries of her past revealed before long.

Smokes has had a lot happen recently, contributing to a distracted mental state. She's suffered 1 near-death experience thanks to a wayward orc with a handgun, had a chat with her totem, her designated friend and boss (Doe) went awol on her, and her backup friend (Twinkletoes) was nearly killed by the humanis policlub.

While she hasn't mellowed out a bit, she's learned not to attack things without a plan anymore.
Sugar Cane needs no introduction. Sly, curvy, no need to hide her attractive elvish body. Comes with being a part time stripper after all.

While she hasn't yet had the chance to run the shadows yet, she never says no to a job if it pays well. And they always pay her well.
A former soldier in the corp wars, Vandal is a tough, no-nonsense type of troll. He cut off his own tongue after extensive torture, but thanks to his Johnson at the Ares Knight Errant division, and a sub vocal mic, he's able to communicate proper.

He worked with his partner, Swarm, at the secret Division 13, who mostly does... essentially shadowrun work but on a salary. However, due to the "Stairway Incident" (Vandal has no idea), he had to be transferred.
AppleJack worked as a mechanic for shadowrunners, listening to their stories since she was a teenagers. After skipping her hometown out in the sticks, she made her way to Seattle to run the shadows.

Despite her overly protective (or "fatherly" as he'd put it) fixer being hesitant about giving jobs to one so new to running, she's completed a few jobs... often to varying degrees of success. She's currently working with Krieger and Strange Fellow after a bad run made Zerk take a break.
Nova is a test-tube baby who grew up in a Novatech lab. As she aged, she was given more and more cyberware. One of her arms, her eyes and ears, right down to the marrow in her bones.

One of the doctors that is charged with maintenance of her cyberware and frequent checkups to make sure she can handle more, didn't really like what she was going through. He liked it even less when he found out she was being trained and sold as a bodyguard/personal weapon.

So one night, he asked Nova if she really wanted to go to her "new home", or if she'd be willing to run away. Nova had to spend a few days thinking about it, but eventually she chose the latter.

The doctor stole quite a lot of money, and they both escaped and fled to Seattle. Once there, the doctor did everything possible to set up average living quarters and find connections to shadowrunning. They need to get paid, and he's probably blacklisted from medical work.

Scarlet is a martial artist of some skill, a sneak thief of any variety, and roundhouse kicker extraordinaire. She's in the shadowrunning business because it's fun, and there's no one to tell her otherwise.

Young and certain that the world will rearrange itself to save her, Scarlet takes selfies at every opportunity and posts pictures of things found on runs to insta-faceta-snapsta-chatsta-gram, such as pictures of people receiving grenades to the face. She's picked up a pet hellhound during her adventures, and has since named it "Sparky". Why it's named Sparky is a mystery to everyone except her.

Scarlet is currently living in Seattle working as a barista at Bards and Nobles book shop cafe.

Characters by BloodyBlackSheep

Tall, beautiful (if you squint), and thoroughly badass, Ika is a rogue Ares Super Soldier. She's had her fair share of scrapes with Ares, law enforcement, and general mooks, and she's lived through all of it so far.

Ika is headstrong, and generally chooses the most direct path through a situation, whether that will work or not. Hostile invasion? Bring guns. Negotiations? Bring guns. Lunch? BRING. THE. GUNS.

Ika is currently missing in action after her SuperSoldier brother attempted to murder her. She successfully killed him, but the constant tightening of Ares's noose was getting to her. She skipped town and is currently in hiding.
Blue is a formidable decker and hasn't met an uncrackable device yet. This has caused some trouble because she uses her unfettered access to everyone's privacy with reckless abandon.

While somewhat lacking in the social skills department, Blue is the first one to call if you have issues with anything technical. Commlink busted? Blue can fix it in under a minute. Has your deck been smashed against a rock, several components pulled out, and all wireless functionality been removed? Blue can fix it in just over a minute.

Blue is currently living in Seattle with Lazarus and Slade. They've done several runs together, and the ability to pry on guards, spoof messages, and imitate IT support have all come in handy time and time again.
Pax is a simple soul with two states of being: angry and not angry. The trick to being his friend is knowing to keep your distance when he's in the angry state. The trick to being his enemy is just the reverse.

A large minotaur, pax claims to be capable of bench pressing busses and running down wendigos. He's only proven to be good at one of those to date, but not for lack of trying. He knows how to handle himself in a fight and will occasionally enter a berserk rage. There are usually no survivors.

Pax is living somewhere in chicago with Wheels. He claims to have a home, but all reports place his last known location in the back of Wheel's van.

Mr. Frazzle is a rather large giant from Germany. He grew up learning to be an alchemist and moved to Seattle to continue his trade. He operates his shop out of tha back of a large bus, and travels around often.

While shadowrunning was never what Mr. Frazzle intended to do, it was what ended up happening one fateful day when he received a call from a friend offering a job that paid a lot of money. Because he was in debt like crazy, Mr. Frazzle accepted.

Mr. Frazzle currently lives in Seattle where he occasionally picks up Scarlet for shadowruns. He's not entirely sure WHY he does this, as she can be quite a handful. Maybe he just likes the company.

Doe is a former Renraku Security decker who was kicked out when he accidentally stumbled upon a secure node he wasn't supposed to be on. Despite his protests that he didn't see anything, Renraku kicked him out with a generous severance package to keep him quiet. Doe, having no financial sense, spent the 1,000,000 nuyen in 6 months and was nearly broke.

At this time, he received a mysterious package from one of his ex-coworkers at Renraku who had sent him his old deck. Taking the hint, Doe started taking jobs and trying to make some money. When that failed, he also hacked a few banking systems to keep his high lifestyle rolling.

We're certain there will be no consequences for his rash actions.... such as going missing for a few months after accepting a Johnson's offer of some sweet sweet tech being placed in his body. When he returned, Smokes took one look at his aura and had to fight down the urge to throw up due to the really twisty weirdness going on there. Doe has since orchestrated a bank heist and is trying to do his best to disappear from the eyes of his former employer with all the ill-gotten tech he received. Was he successful? He disappeared again shortly after a run with Smokes where he kept jumping at shadows and claiming that every car on the road was following him.

Doe died due to a blood magic/cyberware failure cascade when attempts to bring him back in alive went a little bit south. The strain on his body caused by the wounds caused him to fall into a comatose state from which he never awakened.
Survivor, sharp shooter, and all around heavy weapons guy, Tank survived the corp wars and has seen quite a few things in his full troll life. Specializing in assault cannons, Tank has found himself out of a job as assault cannons quickly became illegal for anyone to own when the corp wars died down. Sure, they were illegal DURING the corp wars too, but at least you could find them.

Tank dreams of getting his hands on an assault cannon again someday and putting it to good use.
Many words can be used to describe Twinkletoes. Big is the first that comes to mind, but that's not unexpected of trolls. Smart is another good one, and even somewhat charming (at least for a troll). What people don't expect is Sneaky, and Twinkletoes has sneakiness in spades.

Because he was constantly threatened by the smaller people (aka: anyone not a troll), Twinkletoes learned to be very unobtrusive while growing up. While he was completely unaware of it, he awakened as an adept when he was running from some Halloweeners who were hunting him for sport and unconsciously used his newfound powers to hide from them. Ever since then, fewer people have paid attention to him, which has suited him just fine.

Twinkletoes eventually settled down in the barrens, claiming a blocked and non-functional section of the sewer as his home. While he didn't know it, he was living next to the humanis policlub. Looking for work, he answered an ad on the shadowland bbs looking for some help. This introduced him to Smokes.

Eventually the policlub caught wind of his home, which culminated in an epic battle that nearly killed everyone involved. He's since moved to a new place, taken up garbage collecting (its honest work), and started to plot revenge on the policlub.
Morphine is a dwarf raised by trolls, and he looks like it. Grubby, dirty, and with a smell that only trolls can appreciate, he lives in a condo where he is perpetually close to being late on rent payments. While he lacks things like tusks and horns, those around him are pretty sure he just hasn't grown then yet. They've been waiting for 15 years now, but he still looks like a baby faced troll as ever.

He's recently taken a shine to BTLs, and he's even taken part in making one.

Morphine can be found wandering a small section of town where he lives, trying to sell Legitimate Business Products to unsuspecting sucke... Er.. customers

Lead Belt is a surrealistic realist of the road who travels with his hairless cat, Rasputin, as his co-driver. Often found engaging in "Excided philosophical debates" with those around him, he leaves a trail of either persuaded or perplexed people behind him. Whether drug induced or naturally focused, he has an calm, precise air about him and an oddly smooth way of moving. Clad in a ballistic black leather vest with shoulder spikes, steel toed boots, and several iron charms in his hair, he makes a dashing (for a given value of dashing) and orkish figure.
Lead Belt has been seen around seattle fraternizing the Ms. Smokes and the Twinkly of Toes, long may they twinkle.
Strange Fellow. The name says it all. He ascribes agency to inanimate objects that move on their own accord, such as automatic doors and cars. As a homeless man, he follows the homeless code and does what he can for those around him, expecting nothing (although often receiving much) in return. During times of stress, he turns to a brown paper bag full of disappointingly lukewarm soydogs, which he keeps hidden in his jacket.
Strange Fellow was introduced to Krieger and Applejack who seem to enjoy his rantings and skill at tearing people apart with his bare hands from a distance.

Alcoholic since birth, Rigger by trade, pyromanic by choice, Wheels IS an odd one. Anytime this very disheveld dwarf shows up, any trees in the area attempt to uproot themselves and leave. Every tree thats met Wheels has been burned down, and they know what's coming.

Wheels is also an unintentional terrorist, claiming that he ws simply doing what anyone in his situation would have done. That said, he's currently wanted in Seattle for several large explosions that have killed over 100 people. He has since fled to Chicago where he's adventuring with his buddy Pax.
You know those kids who watched WAY to many super hero movies as a kid and then started trying to act like one? That's Slade. Except he does have super powers (AKA magic).

If one word could be chosen to describe Slade, it would be NAIVE. He has no idea how the world works. For example, he believes himself the hero of the story and is baffled about why law enforcement keeps asking to see permits for his monofilament swords and SWAT armor. I mean, he's the hero, right? Why the big deal?

Slade is currently living in Seattle with Lazarus and Blue. They've had several runs together, and while he's been effective, his continuous obliviousness, lack of stealth, and violently blue skin keep his companions feeling somewhat wary of what might happen next.
Big, Magical, good with guns, and a Former Saeder-Krupp Enforcer, Zerk was tailor made to handle Shadowrunner plan Z (kill everything in sight). The fact that his name starts with that same letter is no coincidence.

Zerk wades into battle with both fists swinging and take a moment to cap a few terrified enemies with his pistol between swings. Like many an adept before him, he's capable of inflicting moderate damage by punching someone, although, he often ends up killing his opponent with a single blow.

After getting involved in an investigation taking most of a year with Krieger and Applejack, Zerk met his untimely end on 2061-09-05 when he tackled a Cyberzombie off of a 25 story building. As his luck wouldn't have it, he and the Cyberzombie tumbled in the air a lot, with the Cyberzombie ultimately landing on top of him. While unlikely, he barely survived the fall and being crushed by a 250Kg weight. Unfortunately, he didn't survive the rather angry Cyberzombie operator who made sure that Zerk wouldn't be around to cause any more damage.

The Cyberzombie did NOT survive.
German born to devout Christian, human parents into an extremely radical sect, Krieger's Awakening was rude to both parents and those around him. His new skills set him apart and bought a secret part of the church down on him, one dedicated to rooting out all non-hermetic mages and non-humans, especially the non-human magic users. After lots of training, Krieger has arrived in Seattle and has taken some odd jobs to get a feel for the city.

In that time, Krieger has played an accidental role in an assassination attempt, lit a nuclear power facility on fire (it exploded), and been the harbinger of death to a policlub of elf posers.

Surveillance shows him to be in regular contact with confirmed green runner "Applejack" and a homeless man masquerading as a runner.
Dressed in red biker leathers with white trim, a santa hat, riding a motorcycle, and ready to add some names to the naughty list he carries in his pocket, Kringle comes to town for a job about once a year. Having grown up in the foster care system and realizing just how terrible it actually was, he's since taken to doing a single large job near Christmas time to provide gifts for children in the foster care system where he grew up. Any remainder is used to help him pay rent in the new year.

Characters by Seier

Old, chairbound, and generally cantankerous, Gandalf is an old school decker who believes the best way to hack is through AR. No messing about with that "un-elegent VR trash".

Gandalf has been around since before the awakening, and his life experiences show. 5th grade was particularly traumatic, as the awakening happened then. While he's never spoken about what exactly happened, he's been known to mutter cryptic messages about situations being "just like 5th grade all over again".

Gandalf has currently retired from the shadowrunner life as he was involved with the terrorist cell "The Explody Rollers" on accident. He realized that his companions were being a bit too excitable and pulled out of the group before things could get any worse. He currently tends his used electronics shop in Seattle.
Suave, sophisticated, and probably able to train cats, Lazarus is the smoothest talking person you've ever seen. If you need a face to do some negotiation, you think Lazarus. If you need someone to extract information from a unwilling target, you need Lazarus.

Lazarus talks to people, it's kinda his thing. He's able to get people to tell him anything with a wink and a politely phrased question. Some have accused him of using magic powers, but all who assense him tell of seeing a very ordinary looking man. Is there something more to his abilities? No one knows.

Lazarus is currently living in Seattle with Blue and Slade. He's always annoyed at Slade (Due to Slades' disregard for stealth), and thinks that Blue may be deserving of "Almost Adequate Appreciation".

Kay was running from something, and it showed in how he looked over his shoulder instead of at the Johnson. Nothing happened, and no one was really sure what he was running from, but Kay knew. He just didn't tell.

After a drug deal went south, Kay was blamed by the local mob and ordered to repay them or start having kneecaps bashed and internal organs reposessed. Kay unwillingly turned to shadowrunning because he'd heard about how much money one could make doing it.

Kay made enough to pay off his debts and vanished into the sunset, never to contact any shadowrunners again.
